The International Communications Consultancy (ICCO) has chosen four
more global industry leaders to join its International Hall of Fame. The
new inductees include US-based Lou Capozzi, Chairman, Publicis Groupe;
US-based Helen Ostrowski, CEO, Porter Novelli, Belgium-based Carlos Lareau,
Senior Vice President & Senior Partner, Fleishman Hillard and Christian
Koenig, Managing Partner, Farner PR who is based in Switzerland.
The group were inducted into the Hall of Fame at a Gala Dinner held during
the ICCO Global Summit, which took place at the Grand Hotel in New Delhi,
India on 4th-5th October, 2006.
The four new inductees join a Hall of Fame already occupied by Harold
Burson, founding Chairman of Burson-Marsteller; David Drobis; Chairman
Emeritus, Ketchum; Anne Forest, Managing Director Asia, Golin/Harris international;
Peter Hehir, former Chairman, Porter Novelli International; Michael Morley,
Deputy Chairman, Edelman and Jean-Leopold Schuybroek, Managing Director,
Interel Marien, who were all inducted into the Hall of Fame at a ceremony
held in October 2003.
Daniel Edelman, founder and Chairman of Edelman; John D. Graham, Chairman
& CEO, Fleishman-Hillard; Paul Kohtes, founder of Kohtes Klewes (now
Pleon Kohtes Klewes) Prema Sagar, Principal and founder of Genesis Public
Relations and Jean-Pierre Beaudoin, Managing Director of I & E Consultants
joined the Hall of Fame in October 2005.
All thirty trade association members of the ICCO were eligible to nominate
someone from their country, with the final four being selected by a judging
panel.
"Like the inaugural members of the ICCO Hall of Fame, these four
individuals have made significant contributions not only to their national
PR industries, but on an international basis too", said ICCO Secretary
General, Simon Quarendon, "they have combined cultural sensitivity
with commercial acumen to create PR agencies that balance global reach
with local relevance".
